CONTEST RULES AND GUIDELINES

Please read and carefully consider the following rules and guidelines to the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) Copyright Collective of Canada (CCC) and the Motion Picture Association – Canada  (collectively, the Contest Administrators) The Reel Challenge Contest.

ABOUT – The Reel Challenge Contest is an initiative of the Canadian Film Centre, supported by the Copyright Collective of Canada, and administered by iThentic.

CONTEST DESCRIPTION – The Contest runs from Thursday, November 14, 2013 to Sunday, January 26, 2014.  To be valid, all successfully completed application forms and video entries must be received electronically no later than 11:59 PM EST on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Once submitted, application forms and video entries become the property of the Contest Administrators.

TO ENTER – To enter you must complete the application form and submission process on-line at psleague.com. No purchase necessary.  Any application form and supporting materials received any other way shall be destroyed and shall not be considered a valid submission to The Reel Challenge Contest.

ADJUDICATING COMMITTEE – An internal CFC adjudicating committee will serve to review and assess prize submissions and select prize-winners.

SELECTION CRITERIA – Two prizes will be awarded by the adjudicating committee to the Content Providers  (the individual(s) that submitted the winning video) whose submissions promote the importance of promoting and protecting a vibrant entertainment industry in Canada.  This evaluation shall be conducted at the sole discretion of the adjudicating committee, whose decisions shall be final and shall not be subject to appeal or review.

ELIGIBILITY – Contest is open to all Canadian residents, with the exception of Quebec residents, who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence at the time of entering the Contest.  Employees of the Contest Administrators, and their affiliates, as well as their immediate family (father/mother, brother/sister, son/daughter) or persons living under the same roof are not eligible to enter.  To be declared a winner, the Content Provider must first correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question.

PRIZES – Two prizes are to be awarded: A Grand Prize of $10,000.00 and a Runner-Up Prize of $5,000.00. There is no regional allocation of prizes.  Odds of winning cannot be calculated as there are no restrictions on the number of entries.​

LIABILITY – The Contest Administrators, their affiliates as well as their respective directors, officers and employees, shall assume no liability resulting from losses, delays, mistaken addresses on e-mail received, typographical errors, technical, computer or telephone malfunctions, loss or theft of computer or telephone data, damage to software or computer equipment, fraudulent calls or any other mistake.

PRIVACY – All personal information, such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and age is collected solely for the purposes of administering this contest and shall not be used for any other purpose without your consent. By providing this information, you consent to it being used the Contest Administrators and their affiliates for the stated purposes.

These contest rules and regulations are effective Thursday, November 14, 2013.
